Minister Browne Appointed Chairman Of Three Regional Organizations

Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Honourable Luke Browne, assumed the Chairmanship of three important regional organizations on October 1st of this year.

According to a release from the Ministry of Health, they are; CARICOM’s Council for Human and Social Development (COHSOD), which addresses affordable healthcare; the Executive Board of the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), which largely deals with the prevention and control of mosquito-borne diseases; and the Pan-Caribbean Partnership against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP).

There is a high degree of functional cooperation between COHSOD, CARPHA, and PANCAP.

As Chairman of the CARPHA Executive Board, Minister Browne will provide strategic direction for the organization charged with addressing regional public health priorities.
