Minister of Agriculture Land and Fisheries Hon Saboto Caesar speaking on Friday 1st June 2018 says as a people Vincentians continues to grapple with the vagaries of climate change.
He says there are some among still don’t accept that there has been a revolution in the climate that is having an impact on our way of life.
Caesar said the ministry has started a survey to be concluded in two weeks’ time, he says the survey would capture information to determine who the most vulnerable stakeholders are.
He urged fishermen; persons involved in agriculture to participate in the ongoing survey.
“Many times we wait till after the hurricane to search in areas without knowing exactly where the hotspots are as it pertains to vulnerability”.
Caesar is asking persons within the private sector, whether they are engaged in fishing, agriculture or a forest user to ensure that you provide the required information.
Caesar was speaking at a press conference to speak on matters pertaining to the 2018 hurricane season which began on June 1st.
