A closer working relationship is needed between the government and several independent Sporting bodies here in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
This is the view expressed by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, speaking on the issue at Hand program on WEFM, on Sunday, August 14th, 2016.
The Prime Minister’s comments come in the aftermath of SVG’s performance at Rio Olympics, where no Vincentian athlete emerged from the heats stage.
Prime Minister Gonsalves also called for persons of promise in athletics to be placed into external professional entities, which good training programs.
