On Tuesday, December 5, the Explora 1 made its first cruise call to Port Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).
The ship arrived in Port Kingstown shortly after 8 a.m. on its journey from Martinique’s Fort-de-France.
“We are thrilled to welcome the crew and passengers aboard to the Gem of the Antilles with a plaque exchange ceremony as they create unforgettable memories,” the tourism ministry wrote on Facebook.
The current MSC Explora 1 cruise is 9 days round-trip UNESCO Treasures Below and Above the Caribbean Sea. The expedition started on November 27, 2023 and will conclude on December 6, 2023.
On August 1, 2023, EXPLORA I set sail from Copenhagen, Denmark, on an exciting 14-night tour through seven intriguing destinations, including a two-night stay in Reykjavik before returning to Copenhagen.
The inaugural voyage began with a series of itineraries covering three continents, providing guests with cultural immersion as well as opportunities for inner and outer exploration on their journey to the Ocean State of Mind.
The Explora I is one of the largest luxury ships at sea, carrying up to 922 guests with a passenger-to-crew ratio of 1.25:1.
The ship departed Port Kingstown today at 5 p.m. Mein Schiff 4 will arrive in Kingstown on Wednesday, December 6, at 7.30 a.m.
During the 2023-2024 season, St. Vincent is expected to get three hundred and seventy-seven (377) cruise calls.
