Van flips in South Union, Multiple injuries reported

An accident occurred in South Union, St. Vincent, on Monday morning when a passenger van flipped over.

Police Report

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) is investigating a motor vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. on January 19, 2026, along the South Union Public Road.

Preliminary reports indicate that a red Toyota minivan travelling along the South Union Public Road experienced mechanical difficulties, resulting in the vehicle colliding with a utility pole and overturning.

As a result of the accident, several occupants sustained injuries and were transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. At this time, 7 persons are reportedly in critical condition.

The RSVGPF is continuing investigations into the matter and is urging motorists to exercise caution, ensure vehicles are in good mechanical condition, and adhere to road safety practices.
