St. Vincent Jaycees Install 2026 Board of Directors
Junior Chamber International (JCI) St. Vincent, also known as the St. Vincent Jaycees, officially installed its 2026 Board of Directors on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the La Vue Hotel.
The installation ceremony celebrated the achievements of the organization during its 2025 administrative year, led by outgoing President Ms. Lisha Beache. Highlights included the successful hosting of the 65th National Convention of JCI West Indies, marking the return of the convention to St. Vincent after more than a decade, as well as impactful community projects carried out in partnership with St. Benedict’s School and the School for Children with Special Needs.
Members and well-wishers were inspired by the Charge to Leadership delivered by JCI Senator Dennis Gaymes, who emphasized the vital role young leaders play in shaping the future of their communities. He encouraged the newly installed board to lead with integrity and resilience, reminding them to remain grounded in JCI’s creed, mission, and vision as they navigate challenges ahead.
Newly installed 2026 President, Mr. Dominic Horne, delivered his inaugural address, expressing appreciation to the
2025 Board for its service and achievements. He announced the theme for the 2026 administrative year, “Be Better:
Unity in Structure, Excellence in Service.”
The 2026 Board of Directors, which constitutes the executive authority of JCI St. Vincent and is responsible for managing the chapter’s affairs, comprises President Dominic Horne, Immediate Past President Lisha Beache, Secretary General Nigel Thomas, Executive Vice President Tyana Stewart, and Vice Presidents Delon DaSilva and Omarr Edwards. Past National Executive Assistant and Past President Wanika Ashton was also appointed General Legal Counsel.
The evening concluded with the induction of new members, welcoming them into a proud legacy of youthful leadership, service, and civic engagement.
The Dawn of a New Era
At JCI’s World Congress in Tunisia in October 2025, the international organization celebrated its 110th anniversary. During the congress, JCI unveiled a new logo that reflects its evolution while honoring its roots. The design
incorporates symbolic elements such as the iconic shield, structural pillars, global regions, and the ripple effect created by members through service and leadership in their communities.
Appreciation and Gratitude
JCI St. Vincent extends sincere thanks to its sponsors, patrons, members, and alumni whose support made the 2025 year a success, especially during the National Convention process. The organization looks forward to continued collaboration and partnership as it works to create lasting, positive impact throughout communities across St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
