A no case submission which was presented by Defense Counsel Grant Connell on behalf of his client Denzil “Scammy” Sam of Ottley Hall on Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 at the conclusion of a Preliminary Inquiry which looked into the circumstances that caused the death of Dexter Rodney of Rockies was over-ruled by Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne.
As a result, Sam was ordered to stand trial at the next Practical Sitting of the Criminal Session before a Judge and Jury.
He is accused of inflicting a single gunshot wound to Rodney’s stomach on October 1st, 2015 at Lower Bay Street which resulted in Rodney’s hospitalisation and his death approximately one year later.
