Consulate services such as passport renewal and collection or authentication of documents will not be available.
This request has become necessary due to the stringent security screening that will be in place to facilitate the hosting of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Please note that if emergency services are necessary (e.g emergency travel document), please call the Consulate ahead of your arrival at 212 687 4490/212 687 4491/212 687 4494.
Your name(s) will be provided to the building security and NYPD/Secret Service/ICE to allow for your screening and access to the Consulate.
All persons entering the area will be subjected to screening and searches.
The Consulate regrets this inconvenience and looks forward to returning to full service on October 2. 2018.
