The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) recently completed a mission to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, engaging government officials, community leaders, and schools on tsunami science, hazard assessment, and evacuation planning.
The mission also reached organizations serving those with special needs, including the National Society of and for the Blind.
Through collaboration with SVG’s National Emergency Management Organisation and the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency, NOAA is helping strengthen regional warning systems and advance Tsunami Ready recognition in Bequia.
