National Sports Council Announces Appointment of Mr. Renson Haynes as Manager

The Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture and Creative Industries is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Renson Haynes as the new Manager of the National Sports Council (NSC).

Mr. Haynes brings extensive leadership, management, operational, and project administration experience to the role, having built a distinguished professional career in the United States within the fields of construction management, engineering administration, and large-scale project coordination.

A graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management, Mr. Haynes has served in several senior leadership capacities, including Director of Engineering and Construction Management at Andre John Architects in North Carolina and Assistant Director of Construction and Engineering Administration at the prestigious Lincoln Center in New York. Throughout his career, he has overseen multimillion-dollar projects, managed operational teams, coordinated procurement and budgeting processes, and maintained strong stakeholder engagement and organizational oversight.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Haynes possesses a strong sporting background and has represented St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the national level in football. He previously served as Manager of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Senior Men’s National Football Team from 2021 to 2022 and was also a longstanding member of the national team between 2001 and 2010.

Minister of Youth, Sports, Culture and Creative Industries, the Honourable Kaschaka Cupid, welcomed the appointment and expressed confidence in Mr. Haynes’ ability to contribute positively to the advancement of sports administration and infrastructure development in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

His appointment represents an important step in strengthening the administration and operations of the National Sports Council as we continue our mission of modernizing sport, improving facilities, and creating greater opportunities for athletes and young people throughout the country.”

The Ministry looks forward to working closely with Mr. Haynes as the National Sports Council continues its efforts to enhance sports development, improve facility management, and strengthen the overall sporting landscape in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
