NTRC’S 2017 I SQUARE COMPETITION TAKES PLACE TODAY

Secondary level judging events for the 2017 I Square competition organized by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC), takes place tomorrow December 14, 2016.

The NTRC hopes to tap into the students’ creativity by challenging them to develop and present projects in the form of ideas and mobile applications that can facilitate the implementation of new systems or improve existing systems within the local private sector so as to improve the delivery of their services to consumers.

The Secondary Judging events will see presentations from the George Stephens Secondary School, Petit Bordel Secondary School, St. Joseph Convent Kingstown, St. Vincent Girls High School, Bishops College Kingstown, Thomas Saunders Secondary School Mountain View Academy and Troumaca Ontario Secondary School.

Judging will take place at the National Insurance Services’ (NIS) Main Conference Room beginning at ten in the morning.

The Union Island Secondary School will present at their school on Thursday, December 15, 2016, from 1:00pm.

Following the preliminary judging events, teams will be selected to advance to the finals on January 19, 2017.
