Today Thursday 13th October, 2016 is WORLD SIGHT DAY and the ophthalmology department at the Milton Cato memorial hospital will be hosting a visual screening at the Methodist Church hall from 11 am until 2 pm.
World Sight Day is being celebrated here in SVG under the theme: Better Together.
The ophthalmology department has formed the sub theme, Focus on Diabetes.
World Sight Day (WSD) is an annual day of awareness held on the second Thursday of October, to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment.
WSD is co-ordinated by IAPB under the VISION 2020 Global Initiative. The theme, and certain core materials are generated by IAPB. All events are organised independently by members and supporter organisations.
