OPPOSITION CALLS FOR DEMONSTRATION AGAINST CYBER CRIME BILL

1 Min Read

The opposition NDP is calling on Vincentians to come out on Thursday in the area of parliament to demonstrate against the Cyber Crime Bill, which will be debated when parliament meets.

The call was made on the NDP’s radio call-in program Tuesday, hosted by Igal Adams as he stated that anytime the Bill is passed, the ULP should be booted out of office.

Adams said that the government had sugar-coated the Bill, which calls for persons to be charged with a criminal offense for posting pornography and cyber bullying

The NDP was not in parliament when the Bill was first introduced, but the party has joined the chorus of those who are stating that the Bill is flawed and should be revisited before its passage in parliament.
