Members of various SDA churches gathered at the Lewis Punnett Home on Saturday afternoon to deliver the spoken word and physical food to the patients.
Darien Rouse who is currently studying Theology at the Southern Caribbean University read from the book of Chronicles 20 in his short sermonette, while Kimron Charles delivered the scripture reading and offered a prayer for the staff and patients.
The group of church members handed over food baskets to staff nurse Bernadine Mc Donald, which would be distributed among the men and women at the home.
The staff thanked church members for their timely visit within the season of giving, and indicated that the food baskets would aide in the nutritional sustenance of those who call Lewis Punnett.
SDA churches participating in the event included Mesopotamia, Stubbs, Calder, Amazing Grace, Kingstown, Good News and Questelles.
Over 75 persons are currently being cared for at the Lewis Punnett Home.
