Pentatonix to feature Grenada in Christmas special on Disney
When Pentatonix: Around the World for the Holidays debuts on Disney+ on December 2, the world will be able to see what a traditional Grenada Christmas looks like.
According to a billboard on Disney + Superstar acapella group, Pentatonix will take viewers on a whirlwind tour across the globe to discover holiday traditions and inspiration from Pentatonix fans all around the world, with Grenada being one of the locations.
Sabrina Francis, a Grenadian musician, posted the good news online, urging her countrymen to “Get out the sorrel and the ham! This Friday on Disney+, we will be offering the world A Christmas in Grenadine!”
Who is Sabrina Francis, then? She began her extraordinary musical journey in 1994 in Grenada. Sabrina creates an emotional fusion of Afro-Caribbean pop.
According to her bio, Sabrina has so far released three works: ‘Think In Colour,’ her second album ‘I Feel,’ and her EP ‘Million Moments.’
“I Feel” was a finalist in the 2019 John Lennon Songwriting Competition. Since the first show in 2020, her ‘Sabrina’s Treehouse Concerts’ series has flourished, and in 2021 she toured Europe and the United Kingdom.
Pentatonix is an American a cappella group from Arlington, Texas, currently consisting of vocalists Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee.
