1 Min Read

Work continues on the refurbishment of the first solar-powered ice facility on Petite Martinique.

Petite Martinique is a dependency of Grenada.

SusGren, in a release on Saturday, December 10th, 2022, said their team visited the island to follow up with the PM Fisherfolk Cooperative in their efforts.

“We were able to apply primer to the building, thanks to the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs for sponsoring 16 gallons of primer,” the release stated.

This project is being funded by GEF SGP Grenada.

SusGren is a trans-boundary non-governmental organisation (NGO) committed to the conservation of the coastal and marine environment and sustainable livelihoods for the people in the Grenadine Islands between Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

SusGren evolved from an eight-year initiative (2002–2010) of the University of the West Indies (UWI) with core funding from the Lighthouse Foundation.
