The community of Green Hill in central Kingstown was plunged into shock on Friday night, September 25, 2026, after a violent shooting left four people dead and four others wounded.
According to St Vincent police, gunshots erupted in Green Hill just before 10:30 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, responding officers discovered a gruesome sight spread across the public road and surrounding properties:
- Two deceased individuals were lying on the public road.
- One deceased female was found inside a vehicle parked on the road.
- One deceased individual was discovered on an adjacent piece of land.
All four victims sustained apparent gunshot wounds. Four additional victims were rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Officials confirmed that two of the injured were treated and discharged, while two remain hospitalized under police supervision.
Adding to the overnight violence, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Brenton Smith disclosed that a separate shooting occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, in the Fair Hall area, leaving a young man injured.
Police cautioned the public against speculating on whether the Green Hill massacre and the Hall shooting are connected, noting that investigators are working to establish the facts based strictly on physical evidence.
As of the press conference, police confirmed that no arrests have been made in connection with the Green Hill shooting. Authorities have issued an urgent appeal to anyone with CCTV footage, photographs, video recordings, or tips to contact police hotlines at 457-1211, 999, or 911.
