Police in St. Vincent have detained and prosecuted the driver and conductor of an omnibus that was featured in a recent viral video showing people falling out of the bus as it rushed away from a bus stop in Kingstown.
During WE FM’s Traffic Talk programme, police also stated that the driver’s licence had been suspended pending the outcome of the case, which is currently before the court.
“In response to the video that circulated on social media over the weekend, in which two persons allegedly fell out of an omnibus, an inquiry has been begun, and both the driver and the conductor have been arrested and prosecuted. The driver’s licence for that omnibus has been suspended pending the resolution of the case, which is now before the courts,” police added.
