Diamond Labourer Charged with Murder of Brandon Child
The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is providing an update on investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Brandon Child, which occurred on December 29, 2025, in Villa.
On December 30, 2025, police arrested and charged Emmanuel Matthews, a 59-year-old labourer of Diamond, with the offence of murder.
Police investigations indicate that the accused is alleged to have caused the death of Brandon Child, a 39-year-old businessman of Villa, by stabbing him to the left side of his chest with a knife.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
The offence was committed in Villa on December 29, 2025. Matthews appeared before the Serious Offences Court where he was not required to enter a plea and was remanded into custody. Matter was adjourned until February 2, 2026.
