Police Confiscate NDP Protesters Placards

1 Min Read

Reports state that police on Monday removed placards from NDP protesters who turned up outside the financial complex where prime minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves’ office is located.
According to one of the protesters, Luzette King, Monday was the 29th day in which the protesters were staging their protest against what she termed the rigged elections and that the government was using the Public Order Act to stop protesters.

It is not clear why the police removed the placards from the protesters, but the Act states that persons protesting must do so 200 yards from the building they are directing their protest towards.
