Police, Customs Seize Contraband On Union Island

Police and Customs officials on the Southern Grenadine island of Union Island managed to stop the entrance of contraband into the state.

According to reports on Sunday 22nd April, the Police and Customs working together confiscated some 100 cases of drinks.

The contraband according to reports was being imported from the nearby island of Carriacou, a dependence of Grenada.

The illegal drinks were seized, and the individual who has knowledge of the importation was helping the police with their investigation.

News784 will withhold the individual name until proper identification can be ascertained.
