Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Shane Cabral, a 24 years old labourer of Glen that occurred about 9:06pm on 21.04.2021.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was in an area of Glen when he was approached and shot multiple times by two (2) unknown masked gunmen.
Officers stationed at the Calliaqua Police Station were informed and they visited the scene. Upon arrival, the deceased was met motionless and unresponsive with what appeared to be gunshot wounds about his body.
The District Medical Officer (DMO) was summoned and he pronounced the body dead at the scene. The motive surrounding the shooting incident is unknown at the moment.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted on the body of the deceased.
Cabral’s death marks the twelfth homicide for the year 2021.
