The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services has released its 72-hour weather outlook starting from June 14, 2026, forecasting a mix of Saharan dust, passing showers, and elevated sea swells over the coming days.
A key highlight of the current outlook is a marine advisory for the start of the week. Forecasters report slight to moderate sea conditions, with swells ranging from 1.0 to 1.2 meters (3 to 4 feet) on the western coasts and up to 1.8 to 2.0 meters (6 to 6.5 feet) on the eastern side of the islands.
Small-craft operators and sea-bathers are strongly advised to exercise caution due to these above-normal swells, which are expected to persist until Monday evening. Swell heights are projected to gradually subside across the islands by Tuesday.
According to Meteorological Forecaster Joan Mc Donald, varying concentrations of Saharan dust are moving across the area, which will result in slight to moderate hazy skies throughout the week.
At the same time, weak tropical waves are making their way across the islands. These waves will bring intermittent showers to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, escalating to the potential for isolated thunderstorms by mid-week. Winds will remain moderate to fresh, blowing from the northeast at speeds of 20 to 35 km/h, though they may occasionally shift to the east-southeast.
