Several organizations recently coordinated a relief effort for the Questelles Government School following a destructive fire on the premises.
Help began to flow in not from international partners, charitable trusts, and local companies.
The specific contributions highlighted this wide-ranging support:
• The Republic of China on Taiwan: Donated EC$10,000 to aid the school.
• The Mustique Charitable Trust: Pledged to provide daily meals for 120 children for a period of two weeks.
• SOL St. Vincent Ltd.: Donated an Industrial Stove and Gas bottles for the school’s kitchen.
High-ranking government officials and diplomatic representatives attended the event to emphasize the importance of community solidarity during crises.
Speakers at the gathering pledged their continued support for restoring the facility to ensure a safe learning environment for the students.
The school’s leadership expressed a firm commitment to maintaining educational standards despite the physical damage caused by the blaze.
