St Vincent’s Chief Magistrate Réchanne Browne has been appointed to the position of High Court Judge (Ag) of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.
Luke Browne, brother of Chief Magistrate Réchanne Browne, broke the news via a social media position on Tuesday night.
“Our family just received the wonderful news that my big sister Réchanne has been appointed High Court Judge (AG) of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. Congratulations Ré! We are proud of you and feel a sense of humility as a result of your accomplishments”.
“I see this appointment as recognition and reward for the outstanding ongoing contributions you are making to the practice of law and the administration of justice in SVG and the Eastern Caribbean.”
Browne said on a personal level, “You are the best big sister ever! You have led the way among the siblings in our family, and we have always been able to look up to you as a source of mother-like care and affection. You have often provided us with a refuge, a quiet zone, a safe haven, a sanctuary, and a happy place”.
