While love was in the air on Tuesday 14th February, robbers had a field day on the ground.
Reports reaching News784 are that a number of robberies were carried out on the Leeward side of the island, in Rillan Hill and Twenty Hill communities.
Meanwhile, Police is investigating an armed robbery, which took place at Rillan Hill, approximately 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.
The Browne family of Rillan Hill was at their home when three males entered their home and demanded that they hand over their cellular phones, tablet and jewellery.
The men then left in a car owned by the Brownes.
News784 understands that the stolen vehicle ran into the back of another car as they made their getaway. When the owner of the vehicle which was hit came out to survey the damage, the robbers alighted from the stolen vehicle with masks covering their faces.
The robbers approached the individual and search the vehicle and managed to make off with a number of mobile phones.
The driver of the vehicle however, was not hurt in the ordeal.
The Police are appealing to members of the public with information that can assist with the investigations to contact the Vermont Police Station at 458-7429.
