Roger Eldon Colville Thomas was born in Layou, St. Vincent and the Grenadines on January 11, 1961, to the late Veda Douglas and Richard Thomas. Roger immigrated to the United States in 1969.
He spent the remainder of his youth with his family in Brooklyn, graduating from Samuel J. Tilden High School. After a brief stint in the Army, Roger went on to have a career in telecommunication at Aon, CSC and Endeavor.
On March 13, 2020, he married Jennifer Blanchard after 23 years together. With Shari Thomas from a previous union, step-daughter Maggie Bell, the birth of Isaac Thomas in 2007 created his blended family.
Over the past few years, Roger had multiple health issues due to 9/11 related cancers. On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, Roger passed away at home surrounded by loved ones.
Roger will be remembered for his love for his family, his sound advice, and his ability to brighten our days when we needed it.
Services will be held at Brownsville Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church 1085 Clarkson Ave between East 94 & East 95 Streets on October 24, 2021.
Per his wishes Roger was cremated, visiting hours with the family will be from 4:00 pm-5:00 pm, Services will be from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
