RSVGPF graduates new instructors, enhances leadership

RSVGPF Conducts Leadership, Capacity-Building Courses at Belair Training Facility

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) continues to strengthen professional development and institutional capacity through a series of training programmes delivered at the Training School, Belair Training Facility, during December 2025 and January 2026.

One of the programmes conducted was the Instructor Development Course, held from 15th to 19th December 2025. The course was designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes needed to plan, deliver, and evaluate training in a structured learning environment. Areas of focus included instructional methodologies, adult learning principles, lesson planning, and assessment techniques. Graduates are now better prepared to deliver high-quality training aligned with RSVGPF standards.

The Inspectors and Station Sergeants Workshop, held from 15th to 16th January 2026, focused on strengthening supervisory leadership, improving operational consistency across police stations, and enhancing accountability, communication, and service delivery. Participants engaged in discussions and practical exercises on leadership responsibilities, operational oversight, and effective station management.

The Training School also hosted the Junior NCO Development Course from 19th to 23rd January 2026. This programme focused on building leadership capacity within the lower supervisory ranks. Key areas included leadership and command presence, ethical decision-making, effective communication, personnel management, and the enforcement of standards and discipline. The course supports the development of disciplined, professional, and competent non-commissioned officers prepared for the demands of modern policing.

The Training Officer stated that the RSVGPF remains committed to continuous training and development as a foundation of effective law enforcement and public service. These courses form part of the Force’s broader strategy to strengthen professionalism, leadership, and operational effectiveness across all ranks.
