- Sandals Brings Smiles
Sandals Resort SVG is still under construction, but they brought Christmas cheer to Buccament’s Leeward District Seventh Day Adventist Primary School on Thursday.
The Sandals representative in St. Vincent and Minister of Mobilisation and MP for Central Leeward, Orando Brewster, joined kids and staff at the elementary school for their Christmas party.
Minister Brewster said the school is his alma mater and a top Central Leeward institution. He said Sandals’ generosity made the pupils happy and was part of a strategic partnership with the institution.
“I am pleased to represent the constituency here… I must say: Sandals has not yet opened, but they are conducting massive work at Buccument Bay. They also recently repaired and renovated this school for the start of the school year. Here they are again at the end of the first school term, having a Christmas party with the school, added Brewster, thanking Sandals Resort and the primary school kids and staff.
Annette Mark, Sandals consultant, said the last two efforts were just the beginning of the learning institution near the soon-to-open Sandals Resort.
“We are also looking at other initiatives with community schools, so we would not just work with the school. Mark claimed the Sandals Foundation, sponsored by Sandals International, covers this.
Jeaneth Pierre, principal of Leeward District Seventh Day Adventist Primary School, said Sandals’ contribution thrilled staff and pupils.
We appreciate Sandal Resort’s support and this initiative. Thank you for this initiative. Pierre said the kids are full of excitement, and the parents are probably grateful.
Joesel Pemberton, Sandals’ Executive Admin Assistant, said the Sandals Foundation and a St. Vincent team provided students with food, drinks, and entertaining activities.
Loud Christmas party music was absent. Instead. Fun games entertained pupils.
