SECURITY GUARD CHARGED WITH THEFT
On October 13, 2026, police arrested and charged Nelson Small, a 59-year-old security guard of Rose Place, with the offence of theft.
Investigations revealed that the accused allegedly stole a quantity of drinks valued at $1,075.00 ECC. The property belongs to a 58-year-old businesswoman of Mt. Wynne.
The offence was committed in Mt. Wynne on October 9, 2026. Small appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on October 14, 2026, where he pleaded guilty to the charge.
He was ordered to compensate the complainant in the sum of $1,075.00 ECC., $100.00 ECC is to be paid forthwith, if he defaults, he will spend 1 and a half month at His Majesty’s Prison. He is expected to pay the remaining balance of $975.00 ECC, by December 9, 2026. If he defaults, he will spend 1 year at His Majesty’s Prison.
He was sentenced to 5 and a half month’s imprisonment, suspended for one year.
