All 15 employees handling security at the Canouan Marina which opened recently in the Southern Grenadines, have gone on strike.
This information was disclosed by a source with knowledge of the ongoing work stoppage by the security staff, which started on Thursday 25th May 2017.
According to the source, the security staff at the newly constructed facility is on strike not only over low salaries but the disrespectful attitude of the General Manger.
The source also told News784, the lowest payment to a security employee is $1000 monthly before Nis and the highest is $1200 before Nis as well.
News784 was unable to obtain information from the management of the marina as to the situation.
