Mostly fair conditions are forecast for this afternoon as a weak ridge pattern remains the dominant feature over the islands. Model guidance is indicating an increase in moisture tonight, and a few showers are likely tonight and tomorrow morning.
Instability from a tropical wave and favorable mid to upper-level moisture will result in an increase in shower activity and isolated thunderstorms from late Sunday night into Monday across SVG. Instability will linger into Tuesday.
Light to gentle south-easterly winds at 5km/h-20km/h becoming calm on occasions, will begin to blow predominantly from the northeast from tonight. Wind speeds are forecast to increase to approximately 35km/h around Sunday afternoon into the week.
Sea conditions are forecast to be slight (0.5m-1.2m). An increase in the wind speeds from tomorrow afternoon will consequently result in deterioration in sea conditions on the east coast, becoming 2.5m by Monday evening. Model guidance is indicating slight haze intrusion tomorrow afternoon removing by Monday.
