A tropical wave will be affecting the islands. Scattered moderate showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecast across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight.
Some of the showers are associated with the Inter-tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) behind the wave. Therefore, instability will persist into Friday and Saturday, resulting in scattered showers and a moderate chance of isolated thunderstorms across SVG.
In addition, further instability from another approaching tropical wave embedded within the ITCZ will result in showers around Sunday.
Predominantly, an east north-easterly wind flow (10km/h-30km/h) will prevail across the island becoming east south-easterly from early Friday morning.
By Sunday, east north-easterly wind flow is forecast to increase in speed to approximately 35km/h. Seas will be slight to moderate (1.0m-2.0m) in open water tonight becoming generally slight (1.0m-1.2m) from tomorrow evening.
Moderate conditions (2.0m) will return to the east coast around Sunday. Haze intrusion will thin out tonight, with another possible intrusion around Saturday evening
