The observance forms part of the official period of national mourning being observed following the passing of Sir Neville on June 2, 2026.

The state funeral will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (The Cathedral) in Castries.

As part of the official observances, Sir Neville will lie in state at the House of Parliament on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Government officials will be afforded an opportunity to pay their respects from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., after which members of the public will be invited to do the same.

The Government of Saint Lucia invites all citizens to join in honouring the life, service and legacy of Sir Emmanuel Neville Cenac and to participate in the official observances in a manner befitting his contribution to the nation.
