(BY JAVIN JACOBS) – Former Prime Minister Sir James Mitchell has congratulated the Ralph Gonsalves government on attaining the highly recognized position on the UN Security Council.
St Vincent will begin its two-year term as a non-permanent member on the UN Security Council come January 2020.
“I think it’s a wonderful idea and I congratulate the Prime Minister and the government for getting us there”.
Sir James says any improve or enhance status for St Vincent and the Grenadines is something he will endorse.
Sir James says he is quite happy to express his opinion on the matter and also very pleased that St Vincent has attained such feat.
“I’ll go further and say it will be part of the legacy of Prime Minister Gonsalves, and I congratulate him on getting that”.
