(By Ernesto Cooke) – Sir Vincent Ian Beache political veteran and titan will be accorded a state funeral.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves on Tuesday 6th August speaking from Taiwan.
Gonsalves said Beache’s contribution to public service and the political landscape of St Vincent will be deeply missed and cannot be replaced.
Sir Vincent Ian Beache died on Monday 5th August 2019, at 3.10 am.
Sir Beache was a former representative for the North Central Windward and South Windward constituency and a Minister of Agriculture, and National Security.
He was also the first leader of the Unity Labour Party, a merger between SVGLP and MNU.
