Sixty Persons Across St Vincent Now In Shelters

As St Vincent and the Grenadines braces for the impact of Tropical Storm Dorian, as of 10:40pm, Sixty (60) people are already in shelters across the country.

In Bequia, Five (5) persons are at the Pentecostal Church in Port Elizabeth, Three (3) at the Georgetown Secondary School, Thirty-five (35) at the Sandy Bay Primary School, Four (4) at the Spring Village Methodist Church, Two (2) at the Lodge Village Government School and Eleven (11) at the Barrouallie Government School.

Tropical Storm Dorian is expected to impact this country around 2am on Tuesday. The system has maintained its West North Westerly momentum and rainfall up to 8 inches is predicted, therefore flooding in low-lying areas and landslides are a real possibility in this scenario.
