On Tuesday, November 28th, a shipment of tools and equipment was delivered to the Forestry Services. The parcel was delivered to the Forestry Services Headquarters in Campden Park.
The Ridge to Reef and Integrated Water, Land, and Ecosystems Management in Caribbean Small Island Developing States (IWEco) twin projects of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) made this acquisition feasible.
The initiative was put together by a variety of state entities, including the Ministry of Agriculture’s Forestry Services and Fisheries Division, the National Parks, Rivers, and Beaches Authority, the Central Water and Sewage Authority, and the Ministry of Sustainable Development.
Remarks were made by Makini Barrow, Project Coordinator of the UNDP Ridge to Reef SVG and United Nations Environment Programme UNEP IWEco Project, Deputy Chief Agricultural Officer Colville King, Director of Forestry Services and National Focal Point of the project Fitzgerald Providence, Dr. Muhammad Nagdee, Head of the Nature, Climate, and Energy Programme at the United Nations Development Programme Multi-Country Office for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, and Chief Executive Officer of Central Water and Sewerage Authority Winsbert Quow.
