Kishore Shallow, the New Democratic Party’s (NDP) candidate for North Leeward, has claimed to possess potentially damaging files on government ministers that could significantly impact the upcoming electoral contest.
Speaking with intense conviction, Shallow declared he has compiled comprehensive documentation about members of the ruling Unity Labour Party (ULP), suggesting widespread financial improprieties.
“We are going to expose them one by one in this campaign,” he stated emphatically, hinting at revelations about undeclared properties across the Caribbean and potentially unreported business interests.
The candidate indicated he is awaiting formal approval from NDP leader Godwin Friday to release the alleged evidence. “I have a case,” Shallow asserted, “but I must get permission from Dr. Friday first.”
Shallow’s claim of having detailed information about ministers’ financial activities could potentially reshape the political landscape.
“Election is serious business,” Shallow emphasized, “and we are not playing games with this country.”
The NDP appears prepared to use these allegations as a key campaign strategy, with Shallow confidently predicting a decisive victory, referring to what he calls “15 nail in this election.”
While the ULP has not yet publicly responded to Shallow’s claims, the NDP’s strategy seems designed to challenge the current government’s credibility and present themselves as a transparent alternative in the upcoming election.
Key Allegations Include:
- Undisclosed property ownership
- Potential tax evasion
- Competing business interests that allegedly disadvantage local Vincentians
