SVG police officer dies in questionable circumstances

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines police force has confirmed the death of Constable Kenrick Scott, whose body was discovered on the morning of Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

The officer, identified by service number 1116, was found at approximately 11:00 a.m. following an incident that has prompted an immediate investigation by the authorities.

According to other sources, the constable was found in a wooded area in what is currently being described as an alleged suicide.

A service weapon was reportedly recovered at the scene. While the investigation is still in its preliminary stages, sources suggest that Scott may have been in a heated phone call at the time of the incident.

The police high command has asked for public restraint and privacy for the family during this difficult period. they have specifically appealed to the media and citizens to refrain from speculation or the circulation of unverified information regarding the circumstances of the death.
