Cuban Ambassador Vilma Reyes Valdespino and Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves recently held discussions on this country’s friendship with Cuba.

The parties noted the excellent state of bilateral relations and addressed many issues of mutual interest.

The Cuban Ambassador congratulated the Prime Minister on assuming the rotating presidency of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and praised the remarkable activism that characterizes the presidencies of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, both of the OECS and of CARICOM, as well as solidarity, which permanently promotes Cuba.

The parties referred to the importance of Latin American and Caribbean unity as the key to resistance and victory in the face of the onslaught of the regional right and imperialism.
