St Vincent’s laws to go online this year 2026
The government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is launching a comprehensive initiative to modernize the nation’s legal infrastructure by digitizing all national laws for online access.
Attorney General Louise Mitchell announced that the state has partnered with a regional center to consolidate legal records and expects to complete a land registry digitization project by 2028.
While legal professionals have pushed for updated facilities, the administration has categorized the construction of new halls of justice as a medium-term goal rather than an immediate priority.
Instead, officials will spend the coming year conducting feasibility studies to decide between renovating historical sites or commissioning new construction.
Additionally, the government plans to introduce the Legal Professions Bill to enforce higher ethical standards and improve accountability within the local bar.
These efforts reflect a strategic shift toward regional cooperation and increased transparency within the judicial system.
