St Vincent and the Grenadines is expected to have a diplomatic presence in the Asian nation of Taiwan very soon.
The 2019 budget for St. Vincent and the Grenadines includes an allocation for an embassy in that nation according to the minister of Finance Camilo Gonsalves.
The Minister stated on Tuesday that some seven posts have been created within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
These new post is expected to enhance the capacity of the SVG Mission at the United Nations to advance the nation’s bid for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.
St Vincent and the Grenadines and Taiwan established diplomatic relations in 1981.
