SVG Hosts Caribbean Airlines Career Caravan

Tourism partnership with Caribbean Airlines to inspire career caravans

St Vincent’s Ministry of Tourism is pleased to announce its partnership with Caribbean Airlines for the Caribbean Airlines Career Caravan, which took place in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from May 7th to 9th, 2025.

This initiative offered hundreds of secondary school students nationwide an immersive and engaging chance to delve into career pathways in aviation, tourism, agriculture, finance, and sustainable development. The Career Caravan showcased engaging presentations, panel discussions with industry experts, and hands-on learning sessions aimed at igniting curiosity and motivating future career paths.

Students from the following secondary schools participated in the three-day initiative:

1. St Clair Dacon Secondary School,

2.⁠ ⁠⁠Adelphi Secondary School,

3. St Vincent Grammar School,

4.⁠ ⁠⁠Intermediate High School

5. St Martin’s Secondary School,

6. St Joseph’s Convent, Kingstown,

7. Dr J.P. Eustace Memorial Secondary School, and

8.⁠ ⁠⁠Bequia Community High School.

In addition to Caribbean Airlines and the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture, the initiative was made possible with the invaluable collaboration of several key partners, including:

1.⁠ ⁠Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Rural Transformation, Industry and Labour,

2. Sandals, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines,

3.⁠ ⁠⁠Bequia Plantation House, and

4.⁠ ⁠⁠Kingstown Cooperative Credit Union.

These stakeholders played a vital role in showcasing the diversity and richness of the tourism and civil aviation sectors and the interconnectedness with agriculture and finance.

This Career Caravan reflects the ministry’s ongoing commitment to empowering youth through exposure, education, and experience. It also underscores the collaborative spirit that is essential to strengthening the linkages between tourism and other key sectors for sustainable national development.

The Ministry extends heartfelt thanks to Caribbean Airlines for bringing this forward-looking initiative to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and to all partners for their commitment to building a brighter future for Vincentian youth.
