For years, the creative industry in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has seen a consistent pattern: children begin dancing in primary school, progress through the available levels, and then step away from the art form once they reach adulthood. The reason? A lack of advanced challenges, technical development, and opportunities for continued growth.
To address this gap, Star Agency will launch its Open Class and Technical Dance Workshop Series in January 2026, providing structured, technique-driven training for dancers at different levels.
The Open Class Workshop Series is open to all-level dancers, offering sessions in Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, and Caribbean Folk, with a focus on technique, choreography, and movement quality. The Technical Dance Workshop Series is designed for intermediate dancers aged 18 and older, providing advanced technical training, across-the-floor work, and choreography exploration. Each session lasts two hours.
Both workshops are facilitated by Kanille V. Brudy, a Vincentian performing artist and educator with a diverse career in dance, drama, teaching, and arts management. Kanille holds a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management with a minor in Dance Performance and Choreography from Edna Manley College (2021) and a Certificate in Theatre Arts from UWI Open Campus (2012). He currently teaches English and Theatre Arts at St. Vincent Girls’ High School and is the founder of Star Agency.
