The Turks and Caicos Islands Government continues to advance efforts to strengthen telecommunications infrastructure and expand connectivity across the Islands.
On 27 August 2026, the official signing and presentation of telecommunications licences between Starlink Caribbean LLC and the Turks and Caicos Islands Telecommunications Commission took place at the Alexandra Resort Conference Room.
The licences were signed by the Honourable Shaun Malcolm, Minister with responsibility for the Telecommunications Commission, and Ms. Rebecca Hunter, Director of Market Access for Starlink.
Acting Premier, the Honourable Jamell Robinson, joined representatives of the Government, the Telecommunications Commission and Starlink for the occasion, which represents another important step toward broadening connectivity options, improving access to telecommunications services and supporting the continued digital development of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
