DUO CHARGED WITH ROBBERY, DAMAGE TO PROPERTY AND ASSAULT
On September 14, 2026, police arrested and jointly charged Junior Duncan, a 17-year-old student, and Desran Pompey, a 17-year-old student, both of Diamond, with the offences of robbery, damage to property and assault.
According to investigations, the accused duo, while allegedly armed with a gun, robbed an 18-year-old student of Calder of one (1) white, black and orange Spray ground backpack valued at $400.00 ECC, containing one case of ramen valued at $40.00 ECC and $500.00 ECC in cash. The total value of the items and cash allegedly stolen was $940.00 ECC.
The duo was also charged with damaging one (1) gold-plated chain valued at $70.00 ECC, without lawful excuse, the property of an 18-year-old student of Calder.
Furthermore, the duo was charged with allegedly assaulting an 18-year-old student of Calder by striking him on the head with a gun, causing actual bodily harm.
The offences were committed on September 5, 2026, in Diamond. The defendants appeared before the Calliaqua Magistrate Court on September 15, 2026. Due to the indictable nature of the offences, they were not allowed to plead. They were each granted bail in the sum of $15,000.00 ECC with one surety. The matters were adjourned to September 22, 2026.
