Sunshine Snacks and Facey Trading SVG LTD will bring smiles to the faces of children for Vincy Mas 2018.
Alvern Ali Cadogan band leader for Nelson Blocker, cultural organization Inc., Nelson Block Mas Band, told News784 for 2018 their portrayal would be a journey through Africa with sponsorship for the children section being Sunshine Snacks and Facey Trading SVG LTD.
Cadogan said the organization is grateful for the contribution and commitment towards children’s mas.
“The children are future of culture in SVG, and if we don’t groom them and put them in a way where they can actually showcase their skills, we would not get anywhere in terms of future mas”.
Cadogan said this year there are two sections namely Rainbow Nation and Ferna, Rainbow nation will include children ages 5-9, while Ferna will target children ages 10-15, overall she said they are catering for 150 kids.
Cadogan also told News784 that this year they would be involving the School for Children with Special Needs for the second consecutive year.
“ Last year we had ten kids, this year we are trying to get more kids to enjoy the mas on the streets of Kingstown and crossing Victoria Park for the Kidde’s aspect “.
Operations Manager at Facey Trading SVG LTD Claudius George said, along with Sunshine Snacks they are pleased to part of the sponsorship for Nelson Bloc children’s section.
He said Facey Trading SVG LTD considers this part of its corporate responsibility and will seek to do more in future events.
