Police are currently investigating two events that occurred over the weekend: a lifeless body was discovered on a pavement in Kingstown, and a man was shot in the face on the old airport runway in Arnos Vale.
Police tells St Vincent Times, Rudolph Pollard, 61, of Redemption Sharpes, was found dead outside the Central Medical Stores Building in Kingstown, not far from the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
According to the report, Pollard allegedly discharged himself from the hospital where he was being treated for a stab wound.
Meanwhile, the St. Vincent Times has learned that Ajine Patrick of Roseau was shot in the face while hanging out with a woman on Sunday morning around 4.50 a.m. at the southern end of the disused E.T. Joshua airport runway by an unknown assailant.
Patrick and the woman escaped and drove to the hospital; he is in stable condition, the woman was unharmed.
The police have opened an investigation into both of these incidents.
