National Public Library Receives New Books
Two new books have been added to the shelves of the National Public Library, Archives and Documentation Services through a Vincentian Author.
With the help of music, writing, and positive thinking, Author Cheryl Williams found hope and purpose in life and penned “A Collection of Poems” and “A Lesson a Day: A Child’s Way”.
Her book “A Collection of Poems” takes us through the power of the human mind, good or bad, and its impact on one’s direction and journey through life. In this collection, Cheryl wants her readers to realize that even when faced with insurmountable, hopeless situations, even when life seems dark and uncertain, we should never let go of hope and appreciate the beauty and blessings that life has to offer, making the most of every day, loving, living, laughing and learning.
On the other hand, “A Lesson a Day: A Child’s Way” teaches valuable, everyday lessons with the help of colorful animals and inanimate objects working their way through problems.
Each story is written in the format of a fable as there is a lesson in every
one. Accordingly, children who read and listen to the book (and the adults who narrate it) will be inspired as they learn, grow, and apply the lessons learned to their everyday lives.
The Vincentian author, Cheryl Williams, is a wife, mother and a nurse by profession. She hopes that her books will be a source of inspiration and empowerment to all who read them.
The books presented by Carlita Kirby (Sister) and Kiesha Kirby (Niece) of the author, were received by the Director of the National Public Library, Archives and Documentation Services Michelle King-Campbell, and Librarians Dana Neverson and Makitter Peters.
